Guy Somers

Guy Somers is a sought after, Southwest Iowa teacher, band leader & composer. He teaches guitar, bass, banjo, mountain dulcimer and ukulele in Atlantic & Carroll, Iowa and via Skype. He has the experience, education and encouraging attitude that make learning to play fun and understandable. He has played 35 years, performed 22 years, taught 21 years, and is Technical Editor of Guitar Exercises For Dummies (a USA top-selling series).

Guy studied at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory, Southern Missouri State, with Billy McLaughlin, Steve Eckels & Mark Hanson. Other accomplishments include - accompanying Rebecca Kia (Manheim Steamroller) & Will McFarlane (Bonnie Raitt), 2009 & 2010 Iowa's Got Talent Finalist, B.A., Theological Studies, Minor in Counseling.  Call (712) 250-4398 to inquire about lessons or live music.
